Cultural Diversity And Artistic Globalization:

The course introduces you to the concept of modernism and interior design. The course presents a brief overview of Graphic Design and Fashion Design and Urban Design. Art Deco and Art Nouveau are discussed in detail in this course.


Introduction to Painting will focus on the basics of painting: materials, techniques, craft, and mediums. The subject matter will include still life, landscape, figure, media experimentation, and exploration of individual creative expression.


This course explores visual literacy, aesthetics, design principles, creativity, critical evaluation and ethics as they relate to the use of visual images and information in society. You will be able to examine the basis of visual literacy and impact of the visual media in order to enhance creativity for visual and persuasive communication.


This course is an introduction to Digital Imaging aesthetics and techniques. You will be able to use imaging software to create digital paintings, graphics and montages. The course is designed to show you how to use computer and photo editing software to capture, edit, manipulate and produce top quality digital photography images.


This course introduces you to artistic practice in three dimensions using a variety of materials and approaches. Problems will require you to address materials in terms of cultural and historical context. This course assumes no prior knowledge of sculpture.


This course examines the theory of design and the design process. You will be required to apply your skills in pattern drafting, draping and construction to the execution of their original designs.


The course is an introductory study of the theory, history, principles and practice of architecture. It includes the roles and responsibilities of the design professions, including interior design, landscape architecture, urban planning and engineering and how they relate to each other.


The course presents an overview of interior design, home decoration and Art Nouveau. This course also presents the philosophy and elements of interior design. How interior designing is applied on various materials is discussed in detail in this course.

This course profiles the history of the development of various furniture styles, exploring the evolution of style in the context of the architectural setting, interior design, and decorative arts of each period. This fascinating course is a beautiful visual reference guide to furniture styles.


This course takes into account the dramatic advances being made in materials and technologies. It focuses on interior architecture offering a refreshing, synergistic approach to the field while exposing you to many exciting nonstructural materials available to today''s designers.


This course provides you a fundamental understanding of the commands and features of AutoCAD 2007 and demonstrates how to use the program to complete interior design and space planning projects.


This course includes the latest material on CAD, digital portfolios, resume preparation, and Web page design. It remains the only comprehensive guide to address the visual design and presentation needs of the interior designer, with coverage of design graphics, models, and presentation techniques in one complete volume.


This course provides straightforward and comprehensive coverage of civil technology drafting and mapping. It includes survey types, plots, plane and profile, contours, and earthworks. Input and ideas from the industry, specifically civil engineering companies, offering you a well-rounded view of the civil drafting field and the types of drawings and skills associated with it.


This course provides a firm foundation in the basics of color harmony and usage and explores the vast and often hidden ways in which color affects our everyday lives—culturally, psychologically, and physiologically.
