This course presents crime detection as a dynamic field relying heavily on the past experiences of investigators as well as recent practical and technological innovations. It explores the many external variables that can influence the investigator's success and the specific methods of crime detection and prosecution of law available today.
This course continues the story of psychology with added research and enhanced content from the most dynamic areas of the field—cognition, gender and diversity studies, neuroscience and more, while at the same time using the most effective teaching approaches and learning tools.
This course introduces you to major issues in the field of Criminal Justice and helps you understand how they fit within the context of crime and justice.
Most cyber crime occurs due to ineffective computer and network security policies. In this course, you will confront computer and network security techniques and policies, including firewalls, virus protection, and network protection, in addition to methods for identifying security risks.
This course addresses advanced data recovery techniques. The topics of this course include Disaster Recovery Plan, Assessing Impact and Risks in the Enterprise, Prioritizing Systems and Functions for Recovery, and Developing Plans and Procedures for Data Recovery.
This course features an introduction to modern cryptography, and builds a solid understanding of the various methods of protecting data. The objective of this course is to study techniques for the protection of data in computer and communication systems from attacks by hackers and fraudsters.
The course will cover the basic concepts of computer forensics including computer file systems, file attributes and data structures. It exposes you to the processes and procedures to recover and interpret digital evidence. The legal theory and evolution of the field will also be covered in depth.
Cybercrime is becoming an increasingly important area of criminology as more social activities take place online. This course on cybercrime will provide you with an introduction to the criminological and sociological study of crime on the internet, including its commission, motivations, and patterns of occurrence, detection, policing, and prevention.
