The College of Psychology begins with a focus on the foundations of psychological science and behavioral analysis. Students delve into the principles of psychology, human behavior, and research methods. This foundational knowledge equips them with the skills necessary to understand and address complex psychological phenomena.


Practical Experience And Client Interaction:

Global Psychological Issues And Cross-Cultural Research:

The College of Psychology at Southeastern Michigan University is committed to addressing global psychological issues and fostering cross-cultural research. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the key personality theorists by combining biographical information on each theorist with his or her contributions to the field. The unique style of this enables you to easily grasp an understanding of the key people and movements in the field of personality.


The Course offers an eclectic, interdisciplinary approach to the study of adolescence, presenting both psychological and sociological viewpoints as well as educational, demographic, and economic data. The course takes into consideration current and important topics such as ethnic identity formation, gender issues, the Internet, and the effects of single-parent families.


This course incorporates neuroscience seamlessly into the study of cognitive psychology. This course takes a fresh look at the field, and presents it as it actually is today. By integrating findings about the brain into the usual fare for this topic, it provides the foundation for you to study current research in the field. 


This course will provide an overview of the neural systems supporting our perception of spatial world, and the movements of our bodies within it. This course will draw special emphasis to the study of visual perception, memory and language processing, attention or action, human brain damages and recovery.


Course introduces the field of psychology and its basic concepts, theories, research methods, and contributions to the understanding of human behavior. Topics include the nervous system, perception, motivation, learning and memory, social behavior, personality, developmental, and clinical psychology. The past and current theories and contributions of major psychologists are explored.

This course will help you understand how to become more effective in their work and personal life through developing human relations skills. Theme of the course revolves around the fact that career and personal success are related. Course will teach you how to become successful in career life by learning skills required for teamwork and leadership.


This course deepens your knowledge of workplace and organizational behavior. You will develop scholarly and practical expertise in work attitudes, leadership, and organizational behavior and development to identify how organizational effectiveness can be improved through; motivational, reward, and feedback systems; and creation of synergistic work environments that foster employee well-being.


Course is a blend of personalization, advice, and science helps you apply psychological insights and principles to your own lives. Course teaches the basics of human adjustment in everyday life. Applications of the concepts taught in this course help you understand yourself better, change your behaviors, and enhance your relationships.


This course reflects field of Human Development in its current state. Lifespan Development prepares you to understand physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth and development throughout lifespan. Content includes child development theories and research; Prenatal development; Infants and toddlers; Preschool years; Middle childhood; adolescence; adulthood; Death and dying.


This course provides scientific and practical highlights of organizational behavior. It focuses on essential concepts and practices that those in business really need to know. Furthermore, it also allows you to understand essentials of OB as a practical and scientific field by providing good balance between research and practical applications.
